Andie Loui recently released her debut album “Another Bad Idea”, which moves seamlessly through pop, alternative, and indie. The music ranges from intimate and fragile to raw and all-encompassing, and Andie has a strong sense of drama, taking listeners along to grand, cinematic climaxes. Behind the artist name Andie Loui is Andréa Louise Horstad, a producer, musician, and composer working across pop, jazz, and film music. In recent years, she has produced music for other artists while also composing for film and TV, including the NRK series MAKTA. With Andie Loui, she steps forward with her own solo project, one where she has given herself full artistic freedom to explore the unpredictable and unfiltered.

The debut single “Another Bad Idea” was playlisted for several weeks on NRK P3 in autumn 2025, introducing Andie Loui as a project with a distinct identity and a compelling sound. The album has also received strong reviews: Dagens Næringsliv called “Another Bad Idea” “a meticulously crafted album about inevitable growing pains (…)”, while Dagsavisen described “Someone Else” as “a ballad that can leave anyone stunned when she lets her voice find a deeply personal nerve.” “Another Bad Idea” is an intense and emotional album about losing yourself, or perhaps finding yourself within your own chaos.
